Events are official community events hosted by the organizer. They can be free or paid, but typically have a venue, agenda, and are facilitated by a host in some way.

Meetups are for casual, lower production hangs. It's an opportunity to gather your community members for hangouts and allows community members to self-organize meetups within a community. Meetups are a way to hang out between your community's official events.

We have 4 different ticket types on our platform which give hosts flexibility around how they want to curate their event guest lists:

  • None β†’ Guests will be able to purchase tickets right away. Note that we do not have a feature that allows guests to purchase multiple tickets at the moment. We are a social platform first focused on facilitating repeat connections and relationships which requires insight into the individuals attending.
  • Survey β†’ Guests will be able to purchase tickets right away and fill out a form at the time of purchase. Hosts use this to gather any additional information they need from their guests like email, food allergies/restrictions, etc.
  • Approval Only β†’ Guests that RSVP will be put into a 'pending' status which requires the host to approve them before they're able to purchase a ticket.
  • Application β†’ Guests that RSVP will be asked to fill out a form and put into a 'pending' status which requires the host to approve them before they're able to purchase a ticket. Hosts typically use this to ask for additional information they may need to curate their event guest lists (e.g. tell me about yourself, why do you want to attend this event, etc).

We're currently free to use! The only cost is the payment processing fee charged by Stripe, which we can't change. We expect to introduce a small 4% platform fee in Q2 2026. We recommend taking this into account when setting your ticket price.

All payouts happen 24-48 hours after your event has ended. They should be auto-deposited to the bank account you have connected to Stripe. Please note that individual purchases will not show up in your Stripe statement β€” you can check these for your individual events by navigating to your event's payout breakdown page.

Please note: we do not allow linking your events to third-party platforms to purchase tickets for the event. If we catch you doing this, a strike will be issued against your account and the event will be taken down.

Once you create an event, you can check the DMs tab of your app for access to the Event Chat. All confirmed attendees will be added to this chat so you can share any additional information. It's also a great opportunity to prompt your guests to mingle and get to know each other beforehand. You can also get in contact with your attendees via the Manage Attendees button on events on the website β€” there'll be a button that allows you to email specific segments of your attendee list.

Absolutely! You can create events with free tickets. Stripe setup is only required if you want to sell paid tickets.
